I am so excited to dig into this! Sir Patrick has been a fixture in my life for decades. Captain Picard & Charles Xavier. I’m a huge nerd and proud of it. 

Sad Story of Eternal Regret: During Covid (2021) we took our kids to the San Diego zoo. At some point we wandered onto a small access road whilst looking for an exhibit. We came upon a very fancy golf cart with a very official looking park employee sitting behind the wheel. Sitting on the back, shielded from the mid-day sun was an elderly gentleman. Bald, well dressed, and above the CoVid mask… those eyes. THE EYES! 

My wife CJ asked the employee for directions, and all the while she was talking I was having an existential crisis. I was 99.99999% positive the well dressed man sitting before me was Sir Patrick Stewart. I said hello and he replied, and the VOICE. The Voice I say! 

We exchanged pleasantries, and then…… I panicked and choked. CJ got her directions, and I said goodbye to Sir Patrick Stewart without confessing my undying love for him or getting a picture I would cherish for the rest of my life. One of my biggest regrets. Not like I think about it daily or anything. Excited for the book!
